After nearly 2 full days, Sedgwick County Zoo‘s (Wichita, KS) Chimpanzee Mother Mahale and child have been reunited this morning!
Sedgwick County Zoo’s (Wichita Kansas) Chimpanzee Mahale gave delivery to a child boy two days in the past, Nov. 15, through C-section carried out by Drs. Whisler and Chibry of School Hill OB-GYN together with the Zoo Veterinary workforce.
Child had a little bit of hassle getting sufficient oxygen at delivery, so he was being handled within the Zoo’s Vet hospital by animal care employees. Right now he was reunited with mother!
