On October tenth, 2023, the Division of the Inside’s Secretary, Deb Haaland, gave the Toad Conservation Space in Wyoming and the Paint Rock River Nationwide Wildlife Refuge in Tennessee new acknowledgments beneath the Nationwide Wildlife Refuge System. With these two new additions, Wyoming’s and Tennessee’s NWRs give a grand complete of 570 nationwide wildlife refuges nationwide. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) describes the Paint Rock River watershed’s atmosphere as a mixture of terrestrial, aquatic, and karst. With this one-of-a-kind atmosphere kind, this refuge harbors many threatened and endangered species, resembling grey bats, Indiana bats, Tennessee cave salamanders, and Alabama cave shrimp.
