We’re honored to face with our Puerto Rican rescue companions year-round, providing hope and a recent begin to deserted canines, cats, puppies, and kittens. The Humane Society of Puerto Rico estimates that the homeless animal inhabitants on the island has surpassed 1,000,000 cats and half 1,000,000 canines, with a euthanasia charge estimated to be between 94 and 96 p.c. Our rescue companions in Puerto Rico are working tirelessly to keep away from inserting animals within the already overcrowded municipal shelters. As Karla Scaramuzzo, Animal League America’s Senior Rescue Supervisor, defined, “For almost all of animals who find yourself in a shelter there, will probably be a loss of life sentence.”
Even after the storm restoration efforts are full, the state of affairs for homeless animals in Puerto Rico stays dire. We’re dedicated to persevering with our help for our companions in any manner we will. Fortunately, our most up-to-date four-legged arrivals at the moment are protected and can quickly embark on the ultimate cease of their lengthy journey: a loving residence.
