Yesterday we made some respectable headway on the Sensory Backyard! We added a raised vegetable backyard AND a brand new dig pit for Grizz.
The Raised Backyard
We already had raised gardens on our property, however since we opened the Legacy Tail Blazers, we haven’t had the time to backyard. Sooo, it change into overgrown with GRASS. I don’t assume any quantity of weeding may have saved this!! Ron had enjoyable demolishing it with our tractor!!
After eradicating all of the nails and screws, we piled all of the particles and evened out the bottom.
Ron constructed these gardens, however this time we determined to outsource that job to Marshall’s Gardens. Time is cash, and most days we’ve only a tad extra of the latter. Gene and Jake did a phenomenal job!
Now to resolve what to plant! Potatos for positive. Peas, beets, carrots are all faves too!
The Dig Pit a.ok.a. “The Pig Pen”
Grizz likes to dig, and I needed to verify the sensory backyard has a spot for him to make an enormous mess! He additionally likes to make a gap and take a nap within the cool filth.
We piggybacked some screened loam on our order of backyard soil for the dig pit. We additionally recyled a number of the boards from our demolished backyard to carry the filth in.
From right here on in, I’ll pop in now and again to provide you updates on the design of the house. Keep tuned!
