The dinosaur of the day: Tylocephale

- Sort species is Tylocephale gilmorei
- Genus title means “swollen head”
- Described in 1974 by Teresa Maryanska and Halszka Osmólska
- Discovered a partial, broken cranium with the jawbone (mandible) and a few enamel
- Had the tallest dome of any pachycephalosaur (recognized to date)
- Dome is so excessive that you would be able to see the dome when trying on the cranium from the again (don’t see this within the domes of different pachycephalosaurids)
- Cranium could be very excessive and slender, and brief
- Had thick bones on the roof of the cranium
- Bone at the back of the cranium (squamosal) is sharp, and never swollen, and the dorsal portion (again) of the squamosal varieties the thick margin of the cranium within the again. The ventral portion (entrance) is skinny
