Atrociraptor marshalli

Named and described in 2004 from fossilised jaws, enamel and fragmentary cranium bones (Currie and Varricchio), Atrociraptor marshalli is thought from the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of south-western Alberta (Campanian to Maastrichtian faunal stage of the Late Cretaceous). It’s considered one of a number of small (lower than two metres lengthy), theropod dinosaurs identified from these strata.
